We are inviting students/alumni and HEP program directors/instructors to complete a brief screening survey. The screening survey helps us identify individuals who may be eligible to participate in the needs assessment.
Eligible individuals will receive a follow-up email with more information about participating.
We are also seeking individuals who are interested in participating in an interview. You can indicate your interest on the screening survey.

About the EnGAge Needs Assessment
The EnGAge Needs Assessment is designed to better understand experiences related to higher education and training during incarceration and after release in Georgia.
The information collected will help identify:
barriers to participation and success
available supports and resources
opportunities to strengthen higher education in prison and reentry pathways
priorities for future planning and improvement
Your participation can help ensure that the needs assessment reflects the voices and experiences of those most closely connected to this work.
Who Should Participate?
We are seeking input from:
Individuals who were enrolled in higher education or training programs while incarcerated and/or after release in Georgia
Higher Education in Prison (HEP) program directors in Georgia
Instructors who teach or have taught in HEP programs in Georgia
Your feedback will help us better understand needs, barriers, supports, and opportunities related to higher education in prison and reentry.

Individuals who were enrolled in higher education or training while incarcerated and/or after release.
This screening survey is for individuals who have participated in education or training experiences while incarcerated and/or after release. We want to learn more about the experiences, needs, and perspectives of students and alumni connected to these pathways.
Information gathered through this process will help inform the EnGAge Needs Assessment and identify ways to strengthen higher education access, support, and success for impacted individuals in Georgia.

HEP Program Directors & Instructors
Individuals involved in leading, managing, or teaching in Higher Education in Prison (HEP) programs.
This screening survey is for Higher Education in Prison (HEP) program directors and instructors. We are seeking your perspectives on program implementation, student needs, barriers to participation, and opportunities to strengthen higher education in prison efforts in Georgia.
Your insights will help inform the EnGAge Needs Assessment and contribute to a better understanding of the current landscape of HEP programming and support needs.
